Finance Assistant (1-year maternity cover)

Manage daily financial tasks and contribute to team success
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our dedicated and skilled Finance Team on a 1-year maternity cover contract from March 2026 until the end of February 2027. In this role, you will play a key part in our day-to-day financial operations and help ensure continuity during a period of parental leave.
You will become part of a dynamic and supportive team culture where collaboration and shared success are highly valued. While you will have clear ownership of specific tasks, flexibility and teamwork are essential. You will therefore be expected to gain a broad understanding of the finance function to effectively support colleagues and ensure smooth operations throughout the maternity cover period.
Areas of responsibility:
Supporting the ongoing development of the Finance team
Working closely with the Senior Finance Accountant on bookkeeping tasks
Handling accounts payable and travel expense management, including invoice processing and payments
Performing reconciliations and follow-up actions
Assisting with VAT reporting and reconciliation
Preparing monthly accounts as part of the month-end closing process
Assisting in preparing audit material for the annual financial statements
Carrying out various administrative ad hoc tasks
Contributing to the streamlining and structuring of internal finance processes
About you:
You have experience in finance and accounting from a similar role and bring a structured, detail-oriented approach to your work. You can work independently and proactively solve tasks while consistently delivering high-quality results and meeting deadlines.
You take pride in providing excellent service and thrive in a collaborative environment where teamwork and a positive team spirit are essential. You are open to change, process-oriented, and have a solid understanding of digital tools in a business context. You communicate clearly and are fluent in both Danish and English, written and spoken.
You have strong knowledge of financial systems (ERP) and are proficient in Excel. Experience with Oracle NetSuite is an advantage but not a requirement.
