To join our Development Team, we are looking for an experienced Product Documentation Specialist with a commercial mindset, who wants to own our product documentation and be responsible for its freshness, develop and maintain product presentations, feature sheets etc.
Product Documentation Specialist
As our Product Documentation Specialist, you will be embedded into our Enabling Community, which supports our Development Team providing world-class products for police organizations and intelligence services. In this role, you will be working closely together with our QA documentation specialist.
Your primary role will be bridging the communication gap between Development teams and other parts of the organization and supporting product launches in close coordination with our Marketing Team. This includes working closely with empowered product teams to help them create accurate and non-complex communication in line with company marketing principles.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Translate technical jargon in various Development Team documents into clear and accessible language.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand new products and updates.
- Plan and deliver communication campaigns for technical products directly with teams.
- Manage internal and external communication channels related to technical content.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize documentation workflows.
About you:
You have 3+ years of experience with technical communication from a similar role and with relevant technologies and tools. You have a proven ability to understand and translate technical information into accessible language. You have a Degree in Communication, Information Technology, or a related field, and you have excellent English writing skills and verbal communication skills.
You are motivated by enabling non-technical stakeholders understand complex technical products and by learning about the latest technologies. You can work independently, and at the same time, you are a great team player, sharing ideas and knowledge with your colleagues.
It is an advantage if you have experience with:
- Technical communication with police organizations and intelligence services
- User focused writing
- Graphical design skills
- Presentation Software
- Adobe Creative Suite
- Markdown
- GIT repositories
