Senior DevOps Engineer
Bring your DevOps and software development skills to a dedicated and experienced team where you’ll streamline processes, enhance quality, and make a real impact.
Become part of a rapidly growing technology company with an important purpose of developing the best software products to prevent and fight crime. We make sure that police authorities and intelligence services always have the best technological solutions, giving them optimal conditions to protect citizens in the city, on the street and in our homes.
If you are motivated by working in DevOps and have experience in software development, we are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer for our IT & infrastructure team who can actively contribute to streamlining collaboration between development and IT operations. You will also enhance and develop relevant processes to improve software quality and operational efficiency, all while being driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact in the world.
Joining the DevOps team
You will become part of a dedicated and experienced team where professionalism is high, the atmosphere is informal, and colleagues both support and challenge each other. A normal day involves coordination with internal stakeholders, planning, and execution in relation to other DevOps activities and the overall roadmap. You will have significant influence and ownership over your own tasks, with ample opportunities for both professional and personal development and assistance from the rest of the team.
Areas of responsibility:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines to support software build and deployment processes, with a focus on enhancing productivity and automation.
- Develop custom tools and platforms to automate repetitive tasks, improve deployment efficiency, and monitor system health across the software development lifecycle.
- Manage and improve infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Docker, Ansible, Python and Kubernetes, ensuring robust and scalable environments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot build pipelines, deployment processes, and production systems, implementing solutions to enhance system reliability and performance.
- Participate in the ongoing evaluation and integration of new DevOps tools and technologies, contributing to the continuous improvement of development and operations processes.
About you:
You have several years of experience with relevant technologies and tools within DevOps and software development. You have documented experience in automating and optimizing software development lifecycle, managing infrastructure as code, and are proficient in various scripting and programming languages with hands-on experience in container software like Docker and Kubernetes. Additionally, you excel at monitoring and troubleshooting to ensure system reliability.
You are motivated by continuous learning and have a natural interest in exploring new technologies within the field. You find it exciting to contribute to the improvement of systems and processes for better, more secure, and efficient software execution.
Furthermore, you are a strong team player who shares valuable ideas and knowledge with your colleagues. You communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
You have experience with:
- Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Java, Node build environments and scripting in general
- Software development in Java, Spring, Typescript, React
- CI/CD Pipelines and relevant tools
